Licensing Policy

Licensing Policy

All content published in The Lancet Public Health is protected by copyright and may not be reproduced, distributed, or transmitted without proper permission, except as allowed under the journal’s licensing agreements. Authors retain copyright of their work, but by submitting a manuscript, they grant the journal an exclusive license to publish, distribute, and display the work in all formats. Open access articles are published under Creative Commons licenses (typically CC BY), which allow readers to freely access, share, and reuse the content with proper attribution, while ensuring the integrity of the original work. Permissions for commercial use, translations, or derivative works must be obtained from the publisher. This licensing framework ensures both the protection of authors’ intellectual property and the broad dissemination of scientific knowledge.
