Withdrawal Policy

Withdrawal Policy

The Lancet Public Health recognizes that authors may occasionally need to withdraw a manuscript after submission. Requests for withdrawal must be made in writing by all authors and include a valid reason. Manuscripts can generally be withdrawn before the completion of peer review without penalty. However, once a manuscript has undergone extensive review or has been accepted for publication, withdrawal may be subject to editorial review and, in some cases, fees to cover administrative or production costs. Withdrawal of a manuscript does not compromise the integrity of the journal, and all requests are handled confidentially and professionally to ensure fairness to authors, reviewers, and the editorial process.
