The Lancet Public Health — Refund Policy

  1. Subscriptions & Access:

    • Refunds for online subscriptions, individual articles, or journal access are generally not provided once access has been granted.

    • Exceptions may be made if there is an error in billing or if access could not be provided due to technical issues.

  2. Print Journal Orders:

    • Refunds or replacements may be offered if the physical journal is damaged, lost in shipping, or not delivered, provided a request is made promptly.

    • Requests for refunds must typically be made within a specified time frame from delivery.

  3. Article Processing Charges (APCs) / Open Access Fees:

    • Fees paid for open access publication are non-refundable once the article is published.

    • If a manuscript is withdrawn before formal acceptance, a partial or full refund may be considered depending on the stage of processing.

  4. General Conditions:

    • Refund requests are assessed case by case.

    • Proof of purchase, payment, or delivery issue may be required.

    • Refunds are not granted for change of mind after access or publication has been provided.
