Refund Policy

Refund Policy

The RBC Journal of Sociology of Health and Illness is committed to maintaining transparency and fairness in all financial transactions related to manuscript submission and publication fees.

  1. Submission Fees:

    • Submission of manuscripts does not generally require a fee.

    • If any administrative or processing fee is collected at submission, it is non-refundable, as it covers the initial review and administrative costs.

  2. Article Processing Charges (APCs) or Publication Fees:

    • Fees paid for accepted manuscripts are intended to cover editorial processing, peer review management, typesetting, online hosting, and archiving.

    • Fees are only refundable in exceptional cases, such as accidental duplicate payment or failure of the journal to provide the agreed publication services.

  3. Withdrawal of Manuscripts:

    • Authors may request withdrawal of a manuscript before peer review is completed. In such cases, any paid publication fee may be partially refunded at the discretion of the editorial office.

    • Withdrawal requests after acceptance or during production are generally non-refundable, as significant resources will have already been allocated.

  4. Refund Process:

    • All refund requests must be submitted in writing to the editorial office, clearly stating the reason for the request.

    • Refunds, if approved, are processed within 30 days via the original payment method.

  5. Final Decision:

    • The editorial office reserves the right to approve or deny refund requests based on the specific circumstances and the policies outlined above.
